KCADC’s mission is to “Engage the world to invest in the OneKC region.”
KCADC’s mission is to “Engage the world to invest in the OneKC region.” Its primary focus is to attract new companies and talent to our two-state region. As part of that effort, they promote the region as a business and lifestyle location of choice.
Since its founding in the 1970s, KCADC is credited with the attraction of more than 500 companies to the region, adding nearly 60,000 new jobs. In addition, it took on the KC Chamber initiatives of KC SmartPort and the Animal Health Corridor, which continue to flourish. And with the Chamber, it co-led the business community’s involvement in achieving voter approval for the new single terminal at Kansas City International Airport.
There are issues that transcend state, city, and county lines – issues like transportation, childcare, education, the economy, and health. MARC is the nonprofit organization that brings together local officials to deal with those issues metro-wide.
The KC Chamber partners with the Civic Council and others in the effort known as KC Rising, which is establishing a shared vision for regional prosperity.
