KC Chamber Encourages Jackson County Voters to Vote Yes on 1 on April 2

Connecting people is a big part of the KC Chamber’s mission. That is one of the reasons we supported giving Jackson Countians the chance to vote on the 3/8-cent stadium sales tax and are now endorsing the Vote Yes on 1 campaign to keep the Royals and Chiefs in Kansas City. A renovation of Arrowhead Stadium will centralize team operations and enhance the game day experience for fans. The ballpark district is designed to bring areas like 18th & Vine and Power & Light together, linking residents and visitors to a whole host of downtown attractions. Read Article

Lisa Ginter Elected Chair of KC Chamber

Lisa Ginter, CEO of CommunityAmerica Credit Union, has been elected Chair of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. The vote came at the Monday meeting of the KC Chamber Board of Directors.Ginter is a native of Kansas City and, since becoming CEO in 2015, has grown CommunityAmerica’s assets from $1.5-billion to nearly $4-billion. Mark Garrett Elected Chair of Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce

Mark Garrett, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, was elected Chair of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce at the Monday meeting of the KC Chamber Board of Directors.  Garrett will begin his tenure on November 1, 2022, and serve for one year.  Read Article

Statement on Amendment 4/MO Ballot

The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce opposes Amendment 4 on the upcoming Missouri ballot. Amendment 4 permits the Missouri Legislature to mandate that the City of Kansas City, Missouri devote no less than one-fourth of its general revenues (up from one-fifth) to fund the Kansas City Police Department.
