FROM THE KC CHAMBER’S PRESIDENT AND CEO
This year, our nation marks an extraordinary milestone: the 250th anniversaries of the United States Army, Navy, and Marine Corps. Since their founding in 1775, these branches have not only safeguarded our freedom but also shaped the very character and destiny of our country. Their legacy of courage, discipline, and sacrifice has carried us through challenges, inspired innovation, and united us in triumph.
Here in the Kansas City region, we feel their impact every day. Just to our north, Ft. Leavenworth and the Command and General Staff College carry forward an amazing tradition of preparing Army leaders—and training those from allied nations as well. The Navy’s protection of global trade routes keeps our businesses connected to the world and our economy strong. The Marine Corps advances cutting-edge research and technology that benefit both military and civilian life, creating progress that reaches well beyond the battlefield. And beyond the contracts and commerce, thousands of service members, veterans, and their families call Greater Kansas City home, enriching our neighborhoods, strengthening our workforce, and inspiring us daily with their leadership and service.
On Friday, October 10, the KC Chamber will proudly join civic, business, and military leaders at Union Station in the KC Chamber Board Room (30 W. Pershing Rd., KCMO) to celebrate this historic milestone. Together, we’ll honor generations of service, reflect on the prosperity these branches continue to bring to our region, and look ahead with pride and purpose as our nation approaches its 250th anniversary next year.
We’d be honored to celebrate with you, so come share in this moment of gratitude, pride, and unity by reserving your spot today.
