FIFA World Cup 26 | genKC Banter & Decanter | Centurions Information Session | and more...

FROM THE KC CHAMBER’S PRESIDENT AND CEO

Kansas City has always come together when the world is watching. From championships on the field to national conventions downtown, we know how to welcome visitors and show them the best of who we are. With FIFA World Cup 26™ on the horizon, our community has a chance to do that on the biggest stage yet.

Hosting the world’s game takes more than filling stadium seats; it takes the heart and hospitality of thousands across our region. KC2026 is recruiting 6,000 volunteers, and while interest has been strong, more are still needed. The application deadline has now been extended into early October, giving more Kansas Citians the opportunity to be part of this historic moment.

Volunteers will receive an official uniform, meals during shifts, and a certificate of appreciation. But more than that, you’ll gain something lasting: the chance to connect with people from around the globe, build new friendships, and know you helped make the Kansas City region shine. Volunteers will be on the front lines of the action: welcoming visitors at the airport, assisting at the FIFA Fan Fest, supporting team base camps, and guiding fans through our city.

This is our time to show the world what the Heart of America looks like at its best: welcoming, united, and proud. I hope you’ll consider stepping forward to be part of it. Learn more and apply at https://kansascityfwc26.com/volunteer.
