FROM THE KC CHAMBER’S PRESIDENT AND CEO

For those interested in reducing crime and violence in Kansas City, we have a unique opportunity for you. The KC Chamber and the Kansas City Public Safety Coalition will host a special screening of the PBS documentary A Tale of Three Cities on Tuesday, October 15, from 3 to 5 p.m., in the Chamber Board Room (30 W. Pershing Rd., KCMO). This compelling film takes a close look at the interconnected issues of public safety, economic opportunity and community development in three American cities. As we continue to seek innovative solutions for Kansas City’s own challenges, this screening offers valuable insights and an opportunity for discussion with local leaders.

Following the screening, a panel of experts will dive into a discussion on how the themes of the documentary resonate with our community’s efforts to create safer neighborhoods and a stronger local economy. Representatives from both public and private sectors will share their perspectives on how collaboration can lead to meaningful change. It’s a chance for attendees to gain new perspectives and contribute to the ongoing conversation about the future of public safety in our region as we hear from documentarian Michael Price, the chiefs of police from Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas, community advocates and business owners affected by persistent crime.

We invite all members of the business and civic communities to join us for this important event. Register now and come learn with us in this exclusive chance to engage with key stakeholders, explore new ideas, and take part in building a more equitable and prosperous Kansas City for all. I look forward to seeing you there on October 15.
