FROM THE KC CHAMBER’S PRESIDENT AND CEO

As we count down to FIFA World Cup 26™, Kansas City is preparing for more than just soccer; it’s preparing for the world. At the KC Chamber, we’re committed to working with KC2026 making sure our small business community is not only ready but fully equipped to thrive from this once-in-a-generation opportunity.

On Friday, June 6, we gathered at Union Station with fellow chambers and business support organizations for a special Small Business Readiness Preview. Led by KC2026, it marked a new phase in our regional strategy, moving from awareness to action. Our focus is on making sure businesses of all sizes, in every corner of our bi-state region, have the tools, training, and connections needed to take full advantage of the World Cup’s economic potential.

Because when the world comes to Kansas City, they’ll remember more than the matches. They’ll remember the meals, the music, the murals, and the makers. They’ll remember the heart of this place, and that heart is our people and our small businesses.

This is about more than visitor spending. It’s about creating a global spotlight for the entrepreneurial energy that defines our city. It’s about showcasing the vibrant, diverse businesses that make Kansas City a place worth celebrating.

Now is the time to get involved. Whether you’re a restaurant owner, retailer, creative, or service provider, your role in this moment matters. Join the KC2026’s World Cup readiness efforts and help shape the story we’ll share with the world in 2026. To stay informed and receive the latest updates, visit kc2026.com.

Let’s show the world what Greater Kansas City can do.
