FROM THE KC CHAMBER’S PRESIDENT AND CEO

Over the years, Healthy KC has grown into a powerful network of advocates working to improve the health and wellbeing of Greater Kansas City’s workforce. I want to personally thank each of you—our committee members, partners, and sponsors—for your steadfast commitment to this work. Together, we’ve built something that has made a lasting difference, and now it’s time to evolve that work to meet the challenges and opportunities of the moment.

As part of the KC Chamber’s broader strategic planning efforts, we’re shifting Healthy KC to focus more deeply on thought leadership and advocacy. That means tackling complex issues like the youth mental health crisis and exploring their impact on our region’s businesses and employees. With the support of our presenting sponsor Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City and the leadership of so many dedicated individuals, we’ll continue to bring insight, research, and action to the table.

To reflect this new direction, we will sunset the existing committee structure and the Workplace Wellness Certification, while investing more in regional conversations like our “State of Series,” the Small Business Celebration, and the POWER of Diversity. Our commitment to health remains strong and we’ll carry that forward through targeted forums, ongoing research, and a new advisory committee to help guide the work.

The future of Healthy KC is about impact. It’s about harnessing the voice of business to shape a healthier, more resilient region. In the coming months, we’ll be announcing new ideas and areas of focus to expand this important work. Thank you for being part of that vision. Let’s keep building it, together.

NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORKING AT CRISTO REY

Cristo Rey Kansas City is more than just a high school; it’s a launchpad for future leaders and on Friday, August 8, the KC Chamber invites you to experience that mission firsthand during our next Neighborhood Networking event, hosted on the Cristo Rey campus in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District.
