There are certain traditions that signal the start of a new season in Greater Kansas City, and for more than six decades, the Chiefs Kickoff Luncheon has been one of them.
Since 1962, the KC Chamber and the Kansas City Chiefs have brought our business community together to celebrate the team, hear from Chiefs leadership and players, and officially get Chiefs Kingdom ready for another season of football.
This year’s luncheon is sold out, and it’s easy to understand why. The start of Chiefs season brings an energy all its own to Kansas City, and after a memorable summer for our region, we’re ready to turn our attention back to football.
Ahead of the Chiefs’ home opener Monday, September 14, the Chiefs Kickoff Luncheon gives us an opportunity to rally behind our hometown team and celebrate an organization whose impact reaches well beyond the field.
The Chiefs are part of the fabric of Greater Kansas City. They bring people together, invest in our community and help showcase our region to audiences across the country and around the world. Kansas City Stadium (better known to all of us as Arrowhead) welcomed fans from around the globe this summer. Now, it’s time for Chiefs Kingdom to make it feel like home again.
We’ll share the excitement throughout the day on KC Chamber social media, giving you an inside look at the celebration, including Chiefs leadership, player introductions, and the moments that have made this event a Kansas City tradition for generations.

NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORKING – THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF TOYS AND MINIATURES
Join the KC Chamber for our next Neighborhood Networking event on Friday, September 4, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures (5235 Oak St., KCMO).
The museum brings together history, art, and imagination through its remarkable collections of fine-scale miniatures and historic toys. Neighborhood Networking offers the perfect opportunity to experience this Kansas City treasure while making new connections with professionals from across the region.

FROM RESEARCH TO ACTION: A HEALTHY KC WEBINAR ON WORK-LIFE WELLNESS
The KC Chamber’s Healthy KC initiative partnered with UMKC’s Henry W. Bloch School of Management to study employees’ work-life experiences across the Kansas City region. On Wednesday, September 23, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., join us for a free virtual webinar unveiling the findings and exploring what they mean for employers and employees.
The research takes a closer look at how the demands of work and home intersect, and how that relationship can affect employee stress, well-being, job satisfaction and retention. Attendees will also learn how workplace culture and supervisor behavior can either intensify or reduce work-life conflict.
Most importantly, we’ll move from research to action, sharing practical ways employers can create more supportive workplaces through supervisor training, stronger workplace norms and clear policies that help employees succeed both at work and at home. KANSAS CHILD CARE TAX CREDIT SUMMIT
Access to quality, affordable child care is more than a family issue; it’s a workforce and economic issue. Kansas recently strengthened its employer child care tax credit, creating new opportunities for businesses to play a greater role in addressing the challenges affecting employees and employers across the state.
Join the KC Chamber on Wednesday, September 30, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the KC Chamber Board Room at Union Station (30 W. Pershing Rd., KCMO) for the Kansas Child Care Tax Credit Summit. The event will bring together business leaders, policymakers, child care providers and community partners to explore how the tax credit works, opportunities for employers to put it to use and ways to maximize its impact across Kansas.

SAVE THE DATE: SMALL BUSINESS B(AI)SICS
Mark your calendar for Wednesday, November 4, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for the next Small Business B(AI)sics Training, hosted by the KC Chamber in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The free, in-person session will take place in the KC Chamber Board Room at Union Station (30 W. Pershing Rd., KCMO).
Part of a national initiative supported by Google, Small Business B(AI)sics is designed to make artificial intelligence approachable and useful for small businesses and entrepreneurs, and no prior AI or technical expertise is required. Participants will explore practical ways to use AI to improve marketing and customer engagement, streamline operations and workflows, and enhance productivity and decision-making.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet along with questions about their own business challenges. The training is open to small businesses across industries and focuses on accessible tools that can help owners save time, reach more customers, and build stronger businesses.
