The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce on July 13 announced its positions on eight ballot questions that will appear before voters in Missouri, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri, on August 4.
Following careful review and discussion, the Chamber endorses:
- Missouri Constitution Amendment 1
- Kansas City, Missouri Questions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5
The Chamber opposes:
- Kansas Constitution Amendment 1
- Missouri Constitution Amendment 4
These recommendations reflect the Chamber’s longstanding commitment to advancing policies that strengthen the Kansas City region’s economy, support critical public infrastructure and services, and preserve a competitive environment for employers, workers, and residents.
“As the voice of the regional business community, the KC Chamber carefully evaluates ballot measures based on their long-term impact on economic growth, infrastructure, quality of life, and the competitiveness of the Kansas City region,” said Joe Reardon, President and CEO of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. “We encourage all eligible voters to study the issues on the ballot, make informed decisions, and participate in the democratic process by voting on August 4.”
The Chamber recognizes that reasonable people may disagree on individual ballot questions. Regardless of where voters stand, civic participation remains essential to a strong region. The KC Chamber encourages its members, employees, and all residents to review the ballot measures carefully, learn how each proposal could affect their communities, and make their voices heard by voting on Election Day.
