Park University Promotes Biles to Senior Director of Communications and Public Relations

Parkville, Mo.—July 29, 2025 — Brad Biles has been promoted to the role of senior director of communications and public relations at Park University, effective immediately.

As senior director of communications and public relations, Biles leads the execution of Park University’s communications, media relations, public relations and brand marketing strategies. He also serves as the primary point of contact for news media and oversees day-to-day communications operations. In addition, Biles oversees the University’s creative and digital content team, ensuring that print, digital and public-facing materials align with Park University’s brand standards and strategic goals.

Biles, who has been with Park University since July 2007, most recently served as director of communications and public relations for the past nine years. Previously, he held roles at Park as associate director of university communications and communications coordinator.

Prior to joining Park University, Biles served as an editor with Ascend Media from 2004-07 and as communications coordinator at Shawnee Mission Medical Center (now AdventHealth Shawnee Mission) from 2002-04. Previous experience found Biles working in news media organizations, including the Kansas City Star, KCTV (Kansas City), KOAM-TV (Pittsburg, Kan./Joplin, Mo.) and the Bonner Springs (Kan.) Chieftain / Basehor (Kan.) Sentinel.

Under Biles’ leadership, Park’s Office of Strategic Communications was selected as the Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America Public Relations Team of the Year in 2022. His work has also earned five PRISM awards over the years from the GKC-PRSA.

Biles, who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Pittsburg (Kan.) State University, is also a longtime staff volunteer for the American Legion Boys State of Kansas as its media relations/ public relations director. He was honored by the organization in 2019 as its Advisor of the Year.
