You’ll notice our new name and new look, but our purpose for rebranding goes much deeper. For nearly 70 years, we’ve cared for patients and communities as North Kansas City Hospital and Meritas Health. But over time, we’ve become more than just a hospital — expanding services and specialties, leading innovation to advance treatment and moving forward to meet patients where they are.
As NKC Health, our unified brand reflects who we are now, as well as where we’re going as an independent health system committed to shaping the future of care.

The NKC Health brand honors our legacy while signaling a forward focus, ensuring close alignment with our values and the values of those we serve. The name pays homage to our origin with a nod to innovation and growth, and the logo is as warm and welcoming as the kindness and compassion we’re famous for.
