Linda Hall Library Names Nancy Steinacker as New Vice President of Advancement

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Linda Hall Library proudly announces Nancy Steinacker as vice president of advancement. In this leadership role, Steinacker oversees the Library’s growing development, membership and grants writing efforts. Steinacker joins the Library after its newly launched strategic plan which reflects a renewed commitment to being a center of discovery and a catalyst for innovation. 

“Linda Hall Library provides inspiring public programs, presented by innovative thinkers and dedicated educators, for our community. We’re fortunate to have strong support across the region for these efforts,” said Steinacker. “I’m excited to contribute to the Linda Hall Library’s mission to inspire scientific curiosity and to continue to build and nurture relationships within the community.”

In her career, Steinacker has been deeply involved in the Kansas City non-profit community, supporting community-driven missions as a creative strategist and relationship builder. Her expertise in individual, corporate and foundation fundraising, event leadership, and donor engagement has powered some of our region’s most well-known organizations. Most recently, she served as director of development at Kansas City Repertory Theatre. Her previous development work includes leadership positions at Kansas City PBS, Harvesters – The Community Food Network, Park University, and Lyric Opera of Kansas City.

“Nancy brings a depth of experience in strategic advancement and community engagement that directly aligns with the bold new direction of the Linda Hall Library,” said Dr. Eric Dorfman, president of the Linda Hall Library. “As we stand at the confluence of our rich past and evolving future, her ability to foster meaningful partnerships and drive innovative fundraising strategies will be invaluable. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the team at this pivotal moment.”

In addition to Steinacker, the Linda Hall Library advancement team includes Kaylee Peile, director of development, Kathryn Lipka, membership manager, Katie Rieger, director of grants management, and Liv Tigges, grants specialist. Together, they bring more than 60 years of membership, education and development expertise to the Linda Hall Library.
