Heads of KC-Boston Chambers Place Friendly Wager on Chiefs-Patriots Game

If the Kansas City Chiefs win this weekend’s AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots, the head of the Boston Chamber of Commerce, James Rooney, will be wearing an official Patrick Mahomes headband (complete with hair) to his next Chamber Board meeting and sending a package of lobster to KC Chamber President and CEO Joe Reardon. 

In the (unlikely) event the Chiefs lose, Reardon will be wearing a Bill Belichick sweatshirt to the next KC Chamber Board meeting, and sending a selection of Kansas City steaks to his Boston counterpart.

Reardon and Rooney met two years ago when the KC Chamber took a Leadership Exchange visit to Boston.  “This is a safe bet, as far as I’m concerned,” Reardon says.  “I expect to be dining on lobster very soon.”
