KC Chamber & Civic Council Joint Statement

On July 21, 2020, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and Civic Council of Greater Kansas City together issued the following statement:

We continue to stand with and support those peacefully protesting the injustice, systemic racism, and inequity that divide our region and our country.

At the same time, we condemn the defacing this past weekend of a memorial to our fallen police officers. That memorial is a symbol of all those officers who serve our community with honor. That destruction does nothing to advance the cause of justice and the dismantling of racism. Rather, it impedes those efforts.
