John Knox Village, a life plan community in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, today announced that its Board of Directors has named Anthony Columbatto as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 29, 2025.
Columbatto has been with the Village for nearly nine years, most recently as Vice President of Health and Community Services. He will succeed Dan Rexroth, current President and CEO, upon his retirement on June 30, 2025. Rexroth recently celebrated his 35th anniversary with the Village—and has spent the last 24 years as president and CEO.
“The John Knox Village Board of Directors selected Anthony as the next President and CEO because we are all confident that his vision will further contribute to the Village’s legacy and enhance the things that make our community unique—our size; the scope of services and amenities offered to residents and in surrounding communities; and our long history of excellence and industry leadership,” said Melvin Gross, chair, John Knox Village Board of Directors.
Columbatto joined the Village in October 2016 as the Administrator of the Village Care Center. During his tenure at the skilled nursing center, he implemented multiple initiatives focusing on resident care, technological advancement and building enhancements. In June 2021, Anthony was promoted to Vice President of Health and Community Services. Since then, he has launched a variety of programs across the healthcare continuum that have led to growth through innovation, quality measures enhancements and financial performance improvements.
Prior to joining the Village, Anthony was with St. Mary’s Manor in Blue Springs, Missouri. He has a master’s in healthcare administration from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Missouri Baptist University.
New Chief Financial Officer to begin in May
The Village is also proud to announce Steve Seggerman as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Seggerman, who joined the Village in 2020 as director of finance, succeeds R. Kim Klockenga, who is retiring on May 1, 2025. Klockenga has been with the Village since 2012.
