KANSAS CITY, MO – Aug. 25, 2025 – The Fall Parade of Homes offers the opportunity to see one of the largest and most impressive displays of new homes in the country. Hosted by the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA) and sponsored by Mike Bryant Heating & Cooling, the fall parade will feature more than 260 homes with a variety of floor plans featuring the latest design trends.

Homes will range in price from $250,000 to more than $1 million and will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Admission is free and free parade guides will be available for pickup at the KCHBA (I-435 & Holmes) beginning the Tuesday prior to the start of the parade and at all parade homes during the event.

While 260 homes on a parade may seem like a lot, over the next decade, the KC region is projected to fall short of inventory by nearly 60,000 homes. In response, the KCHBA has launched the “Let Builders Build” campaign, which is an effort to reduce excessive policies that slow construction and increase the cost of housing, thereby making homeownership less attainable for families. Removing barriers, such as permitting delays and inconsistent code requirements, will add supply, which will then balance demand and in turn moderate prices.

More housing at all price points will support price moderation. When someone purchases a $500,000 home, they move out of a lower-priced home thus providing the opportunity for someone in a starter home to move into it as their family grows, which then allows someone in an apartment to move into that starter home.
