KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 28, 2026 — CornerStone Enterprise, Ltd., a Kansas City-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to building healthier and more financially resilient communities, today announced the inaugural Health is Wealth Community Wellness Fair, a free half-day event designed to connect Kansas City residents with critical health and financial wellness resources.
The event will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Rockhurst University MAC in Kansas City, Missouri. Admission is free and open to all members of the Kansas City community.
What Attendees Can Expect
The Health is Wealth Community Wellness Fair will feature eight interactive wellness zones offering a comprehensive range of free services and educational experiences, including:
- Free onsite health screenings including blood pressure, glucose, BMI, resting heart rate, and other metabolic markers
- One-on-one certified financial wellness coaching and action planning by local KC CFPs
- Metabolic health and diabetes prevention education with interactive activities and games
- Nutritionist consultations and healthy eating demonstrations, including an “Eat the Rainbow” plate-building station
- Stress reduction and holistic lifestyle workshops featuring box breathing and movement challenges
- A “Health is Wealth” Passport for each attendee to track their personal wellness journey throughout the fair
- Community resource referrals connecting residents to local health and financial service providers
- Door prizes, giveaways, and interactive games throughout the event
Addressing a Critical Community Need
Kansas City communities face significant challenges at the intersection of physical health and financial wellbeing. Diabetes and prediabetes disproportionately affect residents in underserved areas, with associated healthcare costs that can reach $16,000 or more annually — a burden that compounds financial stress and limits access to preventive care.
The Health is Wealth Community Wellness Fair directly addresses these interconnected challenges by bringing together certified health professionals, financial wellness coaches, nutritionists, and community resource providers under one roof, at no cost to attendees.
