WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP FORUM
This year’s Women’s Leadership Forum invites participants of all gender identities to explore the power of leadership in times of transformation. As we face rapid shifts in our workplaces, communities, and world, we look to leaders who are not only navigating change, but inspiring a renaissance. Women are at the forefront of this movement, reshaping the workforce with bold ideas, inclusive practices, and a commitment to equity and innovation.
Fireside Chat: Inspiring a Renaissance – Join us for an intimate and energizing conversation between Mayor Kay Barnes, Kansas City’s first female mayor, and Jolie Justus, Chief Legal Officer at University Health. Together, they’ll explore what it means to lead through transformation, spark renewal, and build a legacy of inclusive leadership. From reshaping Kansas City’s skyline to championing civic progress, Mayor Barnes brings a wealth of wisdom and vision. This is a rare opportunity to hear firsthand how bold ideas, and collaborative leadership can ignite a renaissance, in our cities, our workplaces, and ourselves.
Panel Discussion: Leading Through Change – Moderated by Nia Richardson, Assistant Director of Neighborhood Services for the City of Kansas City, this panel brings together dynamic women leaders who are driving innovation, equity, and transformation in their fields:
- Kimberly Young, President, KC Animal Health Corridor
- May-Washington, President, St. Teresa’s Academy
- Lindsay Clarke, Grants and Cultivation Coordinator, Operation Breakthrough
Together, they’ll share insights on navigating uncertainty, building resilient systems, and leading with creativity and purpose! Register here >>

A civil discourse workshop on perception, bias, and the art of listening. Centurions kicked off the year talking about civil discourse and now we’re taking it a step further. This IUC dives into how we see, hear, and respond to the world around us, through a series of interactive exercises designed to surface bias, challenge assumptions, and build stronger communication habits. From the infamous “Is the dress blue or gold?” to the statement “Cereal is soup,” we’ll explore how perception and preconceptions shape our gut reactions, even when the topic seems trivial. This isn’t about debate, it’s about awareness. You’ll leave with unexpected insights, and practical takeaways for staying present, neutral, and open-minded in conversation. Whether you’re navigating boardrooms, neighborhoods, or dinner tables, this session will give you tools to lead with curiosity over conviction. Register here >>LEADERSHIP UP CLOSE: DR.
