The annual Centurions Actives and Alumni Holiday Social will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Join us as we toast the season and celebrate another great year of Centurions. CENTURIONS INFORMATION SESSION

Do you know someone who would make an excellent Centurion? Have them join us for our upcoming Information Session on Wednesday, November 12 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Walz Tetrick Advertising.

The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Centurions Leadership Program is a two-year program focused on building community awareness through civic opportunities and on community issues that affect Greater Kansas City. The mission is to prepare a representative cross-section of the community’s emerging leaders for their role in shaping the future of Greater Kansas City. Interested professionals around the Greater Kansas City region can attend an information session or recruiting social to learn more about the program. Register here >>

ISSUES UP CLOSE: THE HEART OF WESTSIDE: NEIGHBORS NAVIGATING CHANGE TOGETHER

This event will focus on specifically the Westside Neighborhood discussing the Past, Present, and Future of Westside. This event will include discussions surrounding issues, new developments and initiatives being bought to the Westside. What kind of programs have been created and/and or transformed for the betterment of Westside. Register here >>

ISSUES UP CLOSE: BEYOND THE PITCH

What does it really take to host a world-class event? Join us for a World Cup-focused session unlike any other, as we dive into what it will take for our region to successfully host the world’s largest sporting event. This engaging conversation will go far beyond the usual logistics like transportation. We’ll explore critical elements such as healthcare coordination, advanced security planning, and how to build a lasting legacy that benefits the community long after the final whistle. Whether you’re involved in planning, partnerships, or simply a passionate spectator, you’ll walk away with fresh insights and a deeper understanding of how major events can shape a region. PINNACLE & APEX | CHIEFS WATCH PARTY

We’re teaming up! Apex and Pinnacle are coming together to host a Chiefs Watch Party, and we couldn’t be more excited! This is a chance to gather as Centurions, bring along family and friends, and cheer on the Chiefs while getting to know each other better outside of formal programming. We’ll be hanging out on the outdoor patio at Walz Tetrick Advertising — a festive, enclosed space with heaters, a sports-bar TV setup and select indoor seating. This event is all about connection, community, and, of course, Chiefs football! Apex and Pinnacle are thrilled to host this together, and we can’t wait to see everyone for a fun Sunday of cheering, eating, and celebrating the Centurions way! Register here >>

HOLIDAY LIGHTS TROLLEY TOUR

Let’s wrap up 2025 with some sparkle! Join your fellow Centurions for our final major social event of the year — the KC Fun Tours Holiday Lights Tour + Union Station Holiday Reflections. Climb aboard a heated holiday trolley as we cruise through Crown Center, the Country Club Plaza, and the festive homes along Ward Parkway for 90 minutes of holiday cheer. Enjoy dazzling displays, classic holiday music, and even a bit of Kansas City history and Plaza Lights trivia along the way. We have 30 spots reserved exclusively for our group — but only until Friday, October 24!

Bonus Cheer: Whether you’re riding along or checking out Holiday Reflections, the Social Committee will be hosting a Hot Chocolate Bar at Union Station in the KC Chamber Board Room— the perfect way to warm up and toast the season together! We encourage all to attend before the tour takes off at 6:00! The tour will arrive back at Union Station at 7:30 p.m. Bring your holiday spirit, your favorite winter sweater, and your Centurion cheer for one last memory-making night with the Class of 2026! ALUMNI VOLUNTEER BINGO IS BACK!

The Alumni Projects Committee has put together the second annual Alumni GiveBack BINGO highlighting some local non-profits. Dues-paying members can mark off squares by volunteering, donating, and/or sharing experiences on social media. Centurion Alumni-curated volunteer opportunities are a mix of days/times/location/activities.

New for This Year: All volunteer opportunities are listed on Volgistics (the successor to VolunteerMark). If you would like to participate, and are a dues paying member, please reach out to Chris Meier (cwmeier.cm@gmail.com) to get set up. The process is painless, 30 seconds to register. Please email from the address you would like associated with your account to speed the creation of your account.

How to Play:

  • Print the Bingo card attached HERE and track completed activities throughout November. Mark them off using a dot, checkmark, initials, or however you would like!
  • All activities must be completed between Nov 1-30.
  • To Get BINGO: Complete 5 activities horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.
    • We have set the squares on the card, but a minimum of three volunteer activities, one social post, and one donation will count as BINGO from across the card.
    • You can also get BINGO by volunteering five times!
  • Completed Bingo Cards can be emailed to Bernita Cauthon (bernita.cauthon@uwgkc.org). Entries must be received by 12/7/2025 to be entered into the drawing.
  • Submit your cards with BINGO on them and you’ll be entered into a drawing for one of two $100 Gift Cards to any Chamber member restaurant.

On December 18 join fellow Alumni Centurions for the Dividing Lines Bus Tour, a 90-minute experience that drives into the future by illuminating the history of residential segregation and its far-reaching impacts in Kansas City. Register here >>

CENTURIONS 50TH ANNIVERSARY SURVEY

As we prepare to celebrate 50 years of Centurions in 2026, we need your input! Please take a few minutes to complete our 50th Anniversary Survey. Your responses will help shape upcoming service projects, class connections, and storytelling efforts that honor this incredible milestone.

We’re also looking for Class Ambassadors, and you can indicate your interest in this survey. Class Ambassadors are Centurions Actives and Alumni who represents their graduating class and is responsible for energizing their classmates and boosting attendance for 50th Anniversary events, including volunteer opportunities and other engagements throughout the year. Your voice and participation will make this 50th year one to remember!
