CONGRATULATIONS ANDRE LOGAN, 2026 BERNARD POWELL AWARD RECIPIENT
Andre Logan, Director of Strategic Initiatives at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, has dedicated nearly two decades to strengthening Greater Kansas City through civic leadership, community engagement, and volunteer service. His work has spanned organizations focused on health advocacy, neighborhood revitalization, education, transportation, and the arts, including leadership roles with the American Cancer Society, the Rockhill Gardens Neighborhood Association, Uplift Inc., and the Kansas City Regional Transit Alliance. Known for his collaborative approach and commitment to action, Andre consistently leads by example, helping advance initiatives that improve opportunity, connection, and quality of life across the region.
Beyond his civic leadership, Andre has remained deeply engaged in mentoring emerging leaders and supporting Kansas City’s cultural and educational institutions, also serving with the Mizzou Industrial and Systems Engineering Hall of Fame and the Center for Recorded Music.
“For those of us who know Andre, his impact is measured not just by the titles he has held or the organizations he has served, but by the example he sets for others. He challenges himself and those around him to think bigger, work harder, and remain committed to the shared goal of building a stronger Kansas City,” says nominator Jennifer Ingraham of Kansas City University.
