2023 DEI SYMPOSIUM: THE ROI OF DEI

Join us on May 24 to hear from Michael Gonzales, NE&E Consulting & Co-Founder of the DEI Consortium, and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and Centurions for the Big IDEA Breakfast 2.0, where we will explore the ROI of DEI. This event is open to the public and is geared towards executives, line managers, directors of operations, and any HR and DEI professionals. Attendees will leave with knowledge and resources they can take back to their organizations to help implement positive and profitable change. APEX 2023-2024 LEGACY PROJECT APPLICATION OPEN

Each year, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Centurions Leadership Program plans, leads, and mobilizes Centurions volunteers to complete a Legacy Project for one Kansas City nonprofit, with the intent to bring a long-lasting benefit to the Kansas City community. While every project is unique, Centurions provide 250+ skilled volunteer hours, several thousand dollars, and unmatched visibility for your organization. Projects can be short or may take as long as ten months to complete. The project application and more information can be found here.

ALLIES AND AUTHENTICITY

This is time for us to engage in a safe space, in conversation and discussion about our task force survey results. The specific focus will be authenticity and what allyship looks like. This is a time to speak about and listen to our stories, thoughts, and perspectives about authenticity results from the task force surveys. This is an open forum. QUINDARO UNDERGROUND MUSEUM VISIT AND TOUR

May 10, 2023
1-3:00 p.m.

Attend this event to learn more about the history of the Vernon School now used as the Vernon Multi-Purpose Center. Its mission is to function as an outreach facility, serving Wyandotte County citizens. The Center's purpose and goal is to enhance the general, physical, and well-being of the community it serves. CENTURIONS CHEER ON SPORTING KC

May 13, 2023
5:30-10:00 p.m.

The event will be at Children's Mercy Park and we will have a chance to cheer on Sporting KC as they take on Minnesota United FC from the Mazuma Mezzanine. Each ticket to the game comes with food and beverages included. The game starts at 7:30 PM, however, Sporting Park will open up two hours before the match. This event is co-supported by Mazuma Credit Union and Sporting Kansas City.

This event is Centurions only due to a limit of 60 available tickets which will be first come first serve. We will be collecting a donation for each ticket that will support Victory Project. Register here >>

IUC: CONSTRUCTION SAFETY IN KANSAS CITY

Kansas City is witnessing a boom in construction which has made a norm of hectic schedules, short deadlines, and pressure to complete work on time or ahead of schedule. Come hear from representatives in construction, engineering, and local government as they discuss impacts on workers with boots on the ground with regard to physical safety, economic impact, and what recourse may be available for all parties involved.
