Fall Parade of Homes Opens Sept. 19 with 283 New Homes Across the Metro

KANSAS CITY, MO — Sept. 9, 2026 — Looking for ideas, inspiration or perhaps the place you’ll call home next? This fall, the Kansas City region’s largest open-house event invites residents to step inside hundreds of newly built homes and experience firsthand how today’s builders are reimagining the way people live.

The 2026 Fall Parade of Homes runs Sept. 19 through Oct. 4 and features 283 homes built by 85 builder members of the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City (KCHBA). From townhomes and maintenance-provided villas to luxury estates and active-adult communities, the parade offers a front-row seat to the newest trends in home design, technology and lifestyle.

“People come to the Parade for different reasons,” said Will Ruder, Executive Vice President of the KCHBA. “Some are actively shopping for a new home. Others are gathering ideas for future projects or simply enjoying a day exploring beautiful neighborhoods. The Parade gives everyone a chance to see what’s new and what’s possible in homebuilding.”

All homes will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and admission is free. To help visitors make the most of their experience, the Parade’s mobile app allows users to browse homes, save favorites and build customized touring routes. Free Parade guides will be available beginning the week of the event at the KCHBA office and at participating Parade homes throughout the metro.
