February 23, 2026 (KANSAS CITY, MO) – The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures, 5235 Oak Street, Kansas City, Missouri, invites you to check your childhood bedrooms, basements, garages, and attics for Care Bears, Smurfs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and other beloved 1980s toys from the golden age of Saturday morning cartoons. Do you have a special memory of, or photograph with, the toy? Even better! If you’d like your toys to find a permanent home in the Museum collection, please reach out. All offered donations will be reviewed by the Collections Committee and may be considered for possible inclusion in an upcoming special exhibition.

Please email objectdonation@toyandminiaturemuseum.org with your contact information, any history you have about the toy and its original owners, and photographs showing all sides of the toy and any maker’s marks by April 30, 2026.*

*The Museum is unable to accommodate unscheduled visits to review any potential donations. If you have questions, please send an email and Museum staff will respond to you with more information about the donation process.
