World Cup 2026 | Healthy KC Networking Forum: Thriving Together | 138th Annual Dinner | and more...

FROM THE KC CHAMBER’S PRESIDENT AND CEO

In just a few short months, the world will arrive in Kansas City. The summer of 2026 will bring FIFA World Cup 26™, one of the largest global sporting events, to our region. It’s hard to overstate the magnitude: millions of visitors, billions of viewers, and a spotlight unlike anything we’ve experienced before. While the matches themselves will be unforgettable, the true opportunity lies in how our local businesses, especially small businesses, can prepare to benefit from this historic moment.

That’s why the KC Chamber is proud to be a collaborator in KC Game Plan, a readiness initiative from KC2026. KC Game Plan offers the tools you need to get started today: a readiness assessment to gauge where your business stands, a business interest form to ensure KC2026 knows about your capabilities, and a training calendar through KCSourceLink that highlights workshops and resources to help you grow stronger ahead of the games.

This is more than a tournament; it’s a chance to accelerate economic growth, build lasting visibility, and strengthen Kansas City’s reputation as a world-class host city. Preparing now means your business is positioned to connect to opportunities during the World Cup and long after.

I encourage every business leader to explore KC Game Plan and take advantage of these resources. Together, we can make sure Kansas City is ready—not only to welcome the world, but to shine on the global stage.

250TH BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMY, NAVY, AND MARINE CORPS

This year marks the 250th anniversaries of the U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps, branches that have safeguarded our freedom and shaped our nation since 1775. Their legacy is felt here in Kansas City, from Ft. Leavenworth’s Command and General Staff College to the many service members, veterans, and families who strengthen our community.

Join civic, business, and military leaders on Friday, October 10 in the KC Chamber Board Room at Union Station (30 W. Pershing Rd., KCMO) to honor generations of service, reflect on their impact, and look ahead with pride as our nation approaches its 250th anniversary. Register today!

Kansas City is a place where big ideas, bold leadership, and lasting partnerships are made. At the KC Chamber’s 138th Annual Dinner, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, we’ll celebrate what it means to be KC Made — a community built on innovation, resilience, and shared purpose.

On Tuesday, November 25, join us in the Kay Barnes Grand Ballroom of the Kansas City Convention Center (301 W 13th St.) as business, civic, and community leaders gather to honor our past and look ahead to a future where Kansas City shines on the global stage.
