Community Service

genKC and its members are firm believers in giving back to the community. One of genKC’s goals is to support the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Big 5 initiative promoting quality early childhood education.

KC Connections

KC Connections is the community partner expo where early career professionals are invited to learn about different, regional community service, professional development, volunteer leadership positions and networking opportunities. The goal of the event is to introduce early career professionals to new organizations to help grow their professional network. We partner with over 20 Kansas City organizations to share information about volunteer and board opportunities for early career professionals.

Jingle Mingle

genKC’s annual holiday party, an evening of fun conversation, delicious food and tasty beverages, benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. The cost of admission is one gift card or donation to support a local charity.

Grow to CEO

A panel of leaders share their experiences and expertise, providing valuable insight into how early career professionals can lay the groundwork for a brighter future. This series is a great opportunity for professional development and networking event for early career professionals in Kansas City.

Leadership Round Table Series

Early career professionals meet with top leaders from a number of different industries and career paths in an intimate roundtable rotation. These leaders are both highly accomplished and influential and come from across the Kansas City community. They’ll share their unique experiences and expertise, providing you with insights to grow and build your own careers.

Grow to genKC

This summer sellout event features a panel of genKC leaders sharing stories and wisdom about getting their careers off the ground with an audience of summer interns from companies all across the metro area, directly followed by an intern and genKC social and networking reception.

Banter & Decanter

genKC’s annual competitive wine tasting competition exclusively for early career professionals! Fun, interactive networking opportunity that will expose early career professionals to different neighborhoods throughout the region.

Battle of the Brains

At genKC’s annual trivia night event, teams of 8 compete for the title of “Trivia Extraordinaire”! This event is a fun networking event for individuals and groups alike.
