Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center (Rodgers Health) is currently accepting proposals to design and build a mobile health clinic to serve the Kansas City metropolitan area. The Health Center primarily serves Jackson, Clay, Platte, and Lafayette counties in the state of Missouri, in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

Rodgers Health serves portions of the metropolitan area’s low-income patients at fixed locations in Kansas City and Lexington, MO. As the service area includes several communities where transportation is a barrier, a means of bringing healthcare outside the clinic setting and into the community is imperative. To achieve this, Rodgers Health has secured funding for a mobile medical unit which will alleviate transportation issues, making clinical services more accessible to school-aged children, and doing so with minimal disruption to the school day.

Rodgers Health is requesting proposals for the design and construction of a mobile medical clinic unit capable of supporting primary care services, dental health, and mental health services for an underserved population. Services will include screenings, vaccinations, lab, chronic care management, and acute visits.

All proposals must be submitted electronically to Chief Operations Officer Bob Theis at btheis@rodgershealth.org. Submissions are due August 16, 2019, 5:00 PM CST.
