The two schools entered into the agreement during a ceremony on the University’s flagship Parkville Campus on Jan. 24.

Under the agreement, MCC students who earn an Associate in Arts degree will be eligible for guaranteed admission at Park and will enter the University with junior status. “Since 1875 and 1915, respectively, Park University and Metropolitan Community College have shared a commitment to transforming the lives of student-learners, who in turn shape the communities in which they live,” said Park University President Shane Smeed. “Both institutions are proud of their decades-long history of serving first-generation college students, including veterans, and this agreement builds upon our longstanding relationship.”

“This agreement with Park University demonstrates the commitment by both institutions to create greater educational opportunities for all,” said MCC Chancellor Kimberly Beatty, Ed.D. “Our shared students will benefit greatly from the additional support, resources and affordability provided by this partnership.”
