Kansas City video production company to host live outdoor music event
On Stage with SIS will take place June 17, 2021, in the West Bottoms.

Stellar Image Studios, a sister-owned Kansas City video production company, will host a live event, On Stage with SIS (OSWS), at the Black Box Theatre in the West Bottoms to support local artists Saturday, June 17, 2021.
The concert series is designed to connect Kansas City businesses and the community with emerging musicians. Stellar Image Studios’ clients are invited to enjoy an evening of entertainment and networking. SIS provides the artists with a platform, free promotional content and social media recognition.
The 2021 summer event will be the third annual premiere of OSWS. Last year, the showcase launched virtually as a live stream on YouTube and Facebook due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, the company is excited to bring the talent back to the stage.
The role of Master of Ceremonies will be filled by Anissa Wolfe and Sam Cole. The main act will be musician, Lava Dreams. She is a solo artist known for her rhythmic and electronic sound. She also works at Stellar Image Studios as a camera operator and editor. Other featured artists include Kemet Coleman and Jas Couch.
Entry is $25, and donations are encouraged. A percentage of ticket sales will go to support Big Brothers and Big Sisters of KC, a non-profit mentorship program.
Co-owner and producer Jasmine Baudler touched on her personal connection to the organization, which inspired the profit share idea.
“I have been a big to my little Kaliyah, for the past 7 years. She is my world. Big Brothers Big Sisters is an incredible organization that defends these kids’ potential. It is important that a portion of our ticket sales goes to this organization.
OSWS was initially created to merge creativity with business, according to co-owner and director Amber Baudler.
“One reason this event is my favorite project is because it gives our team a chance to express our creativity in a unique way,” said Amber. “I love how we make it different for the community with a new theme and new artists each year.”
Stone Cole, lead motion graphic artist, is crafting the theme for this year: growth and nature. OSWS will be an outdoor concert, and in light of the pandemic, the company says they want to represent the notion of prospering despite hardship.
