LENEXA, Kan. – Heart to Heart International welcomes local families, individuals, businesses and community groups to get involved with hands-on volunteer activities and interactive demonstrations aimed at creating a healthier world.

This free community event, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 20 at the Heart to Heart International headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas, will include hygiene kit assembly sessions, tours of the mobile medical trucks, CPR training, demonstrations of a disaster response field medical clinic, and other interactive experiences.

“You don’t have to travel across the country or fly around the globe to be a humanitarian. It is our hope that area families and community groups will take this opportunity to sign up for an hour or so to volunteer their time to help others. For families, this is such a great way to teach and model important values to children about empathy and giving back to your community,” said Kim Carroll, Heart to Heart International CEO.
