Kansas City, Mo. – Are you up for a challenge? Say YES and participate in Harvesters’ Chicken Challenge!

Harvesters—The Community Food Network received a generous donation of 56,000 pounds of chicken. If you’ve been to the grocery store lately, you know how expensive chicken is. This challenge will give families, children, and seniors in our community access to this free and healthy protein.

Beginning this week and continuing through April 28, volunteers can participate in this challenge by signing up for a special shift in Harvesters’ USDA-certified Repacking Room. Harvesters is asking for volunteers to donate a few hours of their time to help repackage this meat, so none goes to waste. These volunteer shifts will be held only in Harvesters’ Kansas City facility.
