CENTURIONS AND COVID-19

As Stay-At-Home orders begin to lift, regulations that prohibit large group gatherings remain in place. Your safety and wellbeing is our priority during this time, and we appreciate your understanding as we navigate this situation together.

In the meantime, we are continuing to provide valuable content to the participants remotely: this week the Fall cohort is hosting an IUC with David Warm and Tim Cowden on how our region can move forward, and the Spring cohort is continuing a series on Leading Virtually with an Upcoming LUC on May 19. We know that connection and leadership look different during this time, but we encourage you to remember that leadership is more important now than ever before.

Your Steering Committees and Chamber staff continue to have ongoing dialogue on the best way to move forward. Please continue to check the online calendar and the weekly newsletter for information regarding specific events which are updated as we determine their status.

Be well!

IUC: HOW KC REGION SETS PRIORITIES (COVID-19 EDITION)

Wednesday, May 13, 9-10 am
Now that the region is positioned to reopen, how do we move forward? Much has been publicized about the response to the Covid-19 pandemic but how do we respond to and move on from the effects of the shutdown? David Warm from the Mid-America Regional Council and Tim Cowden from the KC Area Development Council will discuss how the region is positioning itself on both the public planning and economic fronts to recover from the time spent in lockdown. Rather than discuss the disease itself, we'll focus on how municipalities and the region are creating policies to successfully navigate a problem with no existing blueprint. Register here >>
