INAUGURAL CENTURIONS HOMECOMING EVENT (ALL ACTIVES, ALUMNI, AND GUESTS)

Join us as we build a new Centurions tradition: once a year, we’ll gather in celebration of all Centurions- actives and alums, Spring and Fall. Think of this Thursday night lovefest as your official kickoff for a whole weekend of Centurions fun! We encourage you to carry the celebration throughout the weekend by organizing your own class reunion events—maybe a golf outing, service project, brewery tour, fancy dinner, or a family BBQ at the park.

Attire for this event is classy casual. We’ll have appetizers and drinks provided by featured local KC vendors, along with raffle prizes (proceeds donated to Actives’ projects/scholarships).

Tickets are available online for $50/person until August 21 (all Centurions and their plus ones are welcome), then $60 from August 22 until the event. We can’t wait to see you soon! This event takes place Thursday, September 5, 7-10 p.m. at The Mulberry Room in West Bottoms.

FALL

LUC: GREG GRAVES

Greg Graves is arguably one of the most transformational leaders in the firm’s 121-year history. During his time as Chairman and CEO at Burns & McDonnell, the firm experienced explosive growth more than tripling in size. As chamber chairman, Graves was the driving force in 2011 to launch the chamber’s Big 5 initiatives that continue to focus community action on specific goals. Greg and his wife, Deanna, continue to be civic and philanthropic champions throughout the Kansas City region. This event is taking place on August 21. REMINDER: SIGN UP TO ACCESS SERVICE PROJECTS ON VOLUNTEERMARK

All volunteer opportunities are now open to both classes and are on a first-come, first-served basis. We have moved to one calendar on VolunteerMark that everyone will use to sign up for opportunities. This was the overwhelming feedback that volunteer opportunities are a great way to have both classes connect. This also means that opportunities are open “year-round” for everyone, which we will track by program year (Fall: July 1-June 30 and Spring: Feb 1-Jan 31).

Ready to serve? Check out VolunteerMark for a few opportunities that are still in need of volunteers. Check the calendar regularly as new projects are added weekly and look for newsletter announcements or GroupMe to sign-up for projects in which spots still need to be filled.
