FROM THE KC CHAMBER'S PRESIDENT AND CEO

KC Soccer fans – we need your help!

As you probably know, Kansas City is one of 17 cities in contention for the 2026 World Cup (which would mean about $620 million in economic activity for the metro). We need to show KC’s strong support for soccer, and that’s where you come in.

The KC2026 Bid Committee, of which I am a member, has partnered with the Power & Light District to host free Women’s World Cup watch parties. The USA games will be shown in the LIVE block, and we want the watch parties packed for the USA games, especially the June 11 game, which will have national media exposure on Fox Sports, to show KC going crazy every time the US scores.

We’re giving time off to KC Chamber staff members to attend the watch parties, and I hope you’ll do the same with members of your staff. Here’s the schedule:

  • Tuesday, June 11, USA vs. Thailand, 2 pm
  • Sunday, June 16, USA vs. Chile, 11 am
  • Thursday, June 20, USA vs. Sweden, 2 pm

Hope to see you there!
