KANSAS CITY, Missouri – Wayside Waifs will be at TEDxKC this Friday, August 12. The evening of TED Talks, titled Emerge. Breaking Through. Branching Out., begins at 6:00 pm and is at the Muriel Kauffman Theatre (1601 Broadway Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108).

Wayside’s Humane Educators will be challenging visitors to play a round of Kindness Bingo during Act III. Wayside’s Kindness Bingo is fun, whimsical, and energizing. When the evening’s guests bring back their bingo card, with a bingo, they’ll get to crawl into the puppy corral for some puppy cuddles. (Puppies will be there by 9 pm.) Also at Wayside’s booth will be a kindness wall. Individuals have an opportunity to learn about bullying, read quotes from kids that have completed Wayside’s No More Bullying Program and how bullying has impacted the kids’ personally, and write their own reflection on kindness, make a kindness pledge, etc. This activity should not only be an emotional experience – but also be an act of gratitude, reflection, and inspiration for future action.

Wayside will be there until approximately 10:30 pm; puppies will be at their booth by 9 pm.
