TechAccel Names Vice President for Program Management Office

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—March 31, 2021TechAccel LLC, a private venture development organization investing in scientific breakthroughs to produce healthier plants, animals and foods, today announced hiring Joe Langle as vice president of its Program Management Office.

Langle previously was Program Management Manager at the Kansas City National Security Campus, a U.S. Department of Energy facility managed by Honeywell Federal Management and Technologies LLC. He joins TechAccel on April 5, 2021.

“Joe brings a wealth of experience in science and technology project management,” said Michael Helmstetter, Ph.D., founder, president and CEO of TechAccel. “With his engineering background, Joe understands the nuances of science and technology development and can guide technical programs to successful outcomes. We’re delighted to have him on the TechAccel team.”

His career highlights include designing a space science instrument sent to study Pluto, leading a team to design and construct a high-containment chemical weapons research facility, and developing a medical evacuation pod for transporting Ebola patients around the world.

TechAccel invests in and advances innovations to produce healthier plants, animals and foods, while protecting and rejuvenating the environment. The company’s portfolio includes several agtech, animal health and biotech products in field trial and advanced stages of preparation for market.

Langle will have responsibility for driving accountability and results across the TechAccel technology portfolio, using proven project management processes to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies. His role includes portfolio performance analysis to enable informed decision making.

In addition to his experience at the National Security Campus, Langle previously served as Senior Program Manager and Engineering Section Manager for MRIGlobal in Kansas City and Research Engineer at Southwest Research Institute of San Antonio, Texas. Both are independent nonprofit applied research and development organizations.

Langle has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas – San Antonio, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri – Columbia. He also has project management professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
