Stellar Image Studios Launches Free Video Workshop for Women

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Jan. 14, 2021 -- Stellar Image Studios announces the introduction of SHOW (SIS Hands On Workshops), a free program designed to teach women the basics of video production.

Attendees are assigned a mock client and guided through each step of the production process, including storyboarding, filming, lighting, and editing. Workshops are held in the firm’s Brookside studios. Attendees are selected on the basis of merit and aptitude.

Each workshop series concludes with a final presentation to a panel of judges, including business owners Margaux Towne of Digital Moxie Studio and Ashley Mahoney of Hello Big Idea.

SIS created the workshops to help narrow the gender gap in the video production industry. SHOW provides a unique opportunity for limited, one-to-one instruction in an environment of strict safety protocols.

“I wanted to attend SHOW to learn more about graphics, editing with Premiere Pro, and otherwise expanding my knowledge to enhance my YouTube career,” says participant Syerrah Cleaver.
