Sporting KC and Breakout KC Team Up to Deliver Ultimate Escape Room Experience

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - (April 26, 2021) – Sporting Kansas City and Breakout KC have teamed up to bring an unmatched escape room and fan experience to downtown Kansas City.

Located at 114 W. 3rd St. in the historic Kansas City River Market, Breakout KC is excited to premiere Matchday Mayhem, a Sporting-themed escape room adventure inspired by Sporting Kansas City’s locker room.

The new escape room adventure will open to the public on April 30, inviting sports fans and escape room enthusiasts alike to experience the interactive, locker room experience.

Matchday Mayhem is the nation’s first escape room created in collaboration with a professional sports club, featuring authentic team gear inspired by the real-life, behind-the-scenes matchday experience at Children’s Mercy Park.

Matchday Mayhem will challenge guests to recover a legendary Sporting scarf that has been stolen by rival fans. Participants will find themselves immersed in a 60-minute mission to fix the team’s locker room and reclaim the scarf before Sporting’s match kicks off. The task will count on Sporting fans to discover clues, crack codes and kick up the intensity to secure victory.

The new escape room will also include videos from Sporting commentator Nate Bukaty and stadium host Hartzell Gray, delivering the ultimate thrill for every escape room team working to beat the clock.
