Show Me KC Schools and Samuel U. Rodgers Host Second Bounce Back to School Event

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Aug. 1, 2022 - For a second year, Show Me KC Schools and Samuel U. Rodgers will host the Bounce Back to School Event on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, 825 Euclid Ave.
“This is a one stop shop for families as they plan for all their back to school needs,” said Robyn King, Director of SchoolAppKC at Show Me KC Schools. “Samuel U. Rodgers will provide immunizations and vaccinations. KC area schools will be on site to assist families that still need to register for school. In addition, services will be provided for assistance with food, employment, mental health and health insurance.”
Admission for participants is free. All services will be on a first-come, first-served basis. All participants are encouraged to wear a mask and to bring immunization card(s) to receive school immunizations. The following assistance will be available:
- School supplies and books
- COVID immunizations and school immunizations*
- Apply to all KCMO Charter and District Schools
- Housing, food, utility and employment assistance information
- Insurance counselors to help you register for ACA and learn more about mental health services
- Information and resources provided by WIC and Nurture KC
