Second-annual Sporting Kansas City Free Youth Soccer Clinic this week at Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center - Postponed

Due to the threat of inclement weather, Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center and Sporting Kansas City have postponed their free youth soccer clinic. Originally scheduled for tomorrow, September 12, 2019, from 5 to 7:30 PM, at the Health Center’s Downtown Campus, organizers will announce the updated plan for the event next week.

Kansas City, MO — Due to the threat of inclement weather, Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center and Sporting Kansas City have postponed their free youth soccer clinic. Originally scheduled for tomorrow, September 12, 2019, from 5 to 7:30 PM, at the Health Center’s Downtown Campus, organizers will announce the updated plan for the event next week.

The Sporting Kansas City Recycle Your Game Free Youth Soccer Clinic provides an opportunity for boys and girls ages 3 to 12 to learn basic skills and soccer techniques from Sporting KC Youth Soccer and Sporting KC Academy coaches, as well as Sporting KC players, and receive gently-used soccer equipment. 2019 marks the second year of the event, which includes a post-clinic autograph session for participants to get exclusive Sporting KC player autographs.

More than 130 children were registered for the soccer clinic prior to registration closing Tuesday evening. Parents looking for more information can visit the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center Facebook page, www.facebook.com/RodgersHealth.

Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center and Sporting Kansas City’s charitable foundation, The Victory Project, will host a free youth soccer clinic at the Health Center’s Downtown Campus this Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 5 to 7:30 PM. Located at 825 Euclid Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, the Health Center will host boys and girls ages 3 to 12 as they learn basic soccer skills and receive gently-used soccer equipment.

Over 120 aspiring soccer stars had registered for the event as of Monday afternoon, and registration continues through Tuesday, September 10.
