Dave Carroll and Diana Scholtes Join Utility-Scale Solar and Energy Storage Developer in EPC Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer Roles

Kansas City, MO. (May 4, 2020)Savion, LLC announced the appointment of two veteran renewable energy executives to newly-created roles, deepening its senior leadership team. Dave Carroll has joined Savion as senior vice president of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). Diana Scholtes is the company’s new chief commercial officer.

Carroll will lead the EPC areas of Savion’s business for the entire project development life cycle. He has more than 13 years of experience leading construction, engineering, and program management teams across the renewable energy industry including wind, solar, bioenergy, and storage technologies, contributing to over 7 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy globally.

Carroll will leverage his knowledge of capital expenditures, contract management, project finance, and compliance with offtake agreements to drive positive outcomes for Savion, its clients, and the communities it serves. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Minerals Engineering and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the University of San Diego.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Scholtes will further expand Savion’s origination and commercial transactions team and oversee new business product development, market strategy and analysis, proposals, and additional power marketing activities. Scholtes has spent more than 21 years managing all aspects of the energy value chain, including creating innovative renewable products for clients through her diverse experience in power operations, energy trading, business development, origination, operations, and asset development.

In her previous role, Scholtes led Avangrid Renewables’ wind and solar sales activities across the United States, focused on developing tailored customer solutions, portfolio optimization, and risk management. Prior to completing the Women’s Leadership Program at the Yale School of Management in 2019, Scholtes completed the Executive Management Program at ESADE Business School in Madrid, Spain.
