KANSAS CITY, Mo., July 22, 2019 – Kansas City Internet of Things (IoT) systems integrator RUMBLE is forging its market leadership in promoting understanding and adoption of the Industrial Internet of Things (IoT), and in the process shines the spotlight on Kansas City’s emerging tech innovation leadership.

In May 2018, RUMBLE CEO and Founder, and IoT expert, Terri Foudray, was the first Kansas Citian appointed to the Smart Cities/IoT Advisory Council for CompTIA, the world’s largest trade association for the global technology industry. This invitation-only international council provides vision and guidance to businesses around the world regarding the adoption and advancement of IoT.

According to Annette Taber, CompTIA SVP, Industry Outreach, the Smart Cities/IoT Council plays a critical role in the future of IoT.

“IoT is beginning to touch so many parts of our lives, from food production to power consumption to traffic management—and we’re just getting started,” she said. “CompTIA’s IoT Advisory Council is committed to helping companies develop the resources and skills necessary to build the IoT solutions that improve people’s lives.”

Following Foudray’s appointment to the Council, the appointment of three more Kansas City tech influencers has resulted in the city having the largest representation on the IoT Advisory Council today. Other Kansas City area tech leaders on the Council now include: Brandon Fuhr – Director, Channel Programs for Coolfire Solutions; Tim Sylvester – Founder & CEO of Integrated Roadways; Mike Grigsby – Smart Cities & Connected Communities for Cisco. The predominance of Kansas Citians appointed to this international Advisory Council is a further validation of the area’s depth of leadership and talent.

“The fact that we have the largest representation on this forward-thinking leadership body validates Kansas City as a top tech innovation center,” said Foudray. “Our area is rich in talent and entrepreneurs, and through our involvement, we have the opportunity to make a tremendous impact on the emerging technology landscape, particularly as it pertains to the Internet of Things and its influence on the world.”

RUMBLE is an IoT systems integrator helping businesses architect and deploy end-to-end solutions that drive real-time performance improvement in manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, and utilities/energy. The company was recognized earlier this year for its leadership in driving adoption of IoT, receiving the first-ever IoT Solution Deployment Leadership Company of the Year award by Compass Intelligence, a market acceleration research and consulting firm. RUMBLE regularly hosts IoT education events and co-founder Perry Lea’s comprehensive book on end-to-end IoT solution architecture, Internet of Things for Architects, is used to teach IoT at Columbia University and is a best-seller on Amazon.

“It’s been reported that the market for connected devices, or IoT, hasn’t taken off as quickly as many had expected,” Foudray said. “The reason for that is there are very few companies or people that know how to successfully architect and implement IoT. It is a very complex end-to-end technology. Acceleration will continue to lag expectations until there are more companies like RUMBLE that can help businesses successfully adopt IoT and realize its benefits and return on investment.”
