Maze Freight Solutions receives the 2021 Kansas Minority-Owned Service Industry Firm of the Year Award

Overland Park, KAN (October 26, 2021): Maze Freight Solutions, Overland Park, Kansas, has received the 2021 Kansas Minority-Owned Service Industry Firm of the Year Award, according to Jy Maze, co-founder and president of the business. The recognition was given to the logistics enterprise during the recent 2021 Kansas Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week celebration by Rhonda Harris, Director, Kansas Office of Minority and Women Business Development, Kansas Department of Commerce and Kansas Governor, Laura Kelly. 

Maze Freight Solutions is a nationally certified Minority-Owned Small Business (MSOB) and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). It was co-founded in 2017 in Overland Park, Kansas by Jy and Gerald Maze. Nicholas E. Ruffin is V.P. Operations and Deidra Craig is the Talent Acquisition Director.

Maze Freight Solutions’ services include the management of one or more elements of commercial procurement, supply chain management, and fulfillment activities and range from a single lane expedited transporting of merchandise, to large projects requiring detailed arrangements in multiple modes of transportation. Clients include all categories of businesses in Kansas and throughout the United States and Canada. Recently, worldwide shipping for clients has been added.

About the 2021 Kansas MED Week Awards

The Kansas Department of Commerce, Office of Minority and Women Business Development hosted its 36th Annual Minority-Owned and Women-Owned Business Awards  Luncheon Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Topeka. Six minority-owned businesses and six women-owned businesses that are based in Kansas were honored at the event.
