KC Parks Community Centers Offer Virtual Learning Sites to KCPS Students, K-6th

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 10, 2020

Kansas City, Missouri - KC Parks is partnering with Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City and Campfire to offer Virtual Learning Sites FREE for students enrolled in Kindergarten-6th grade in the Kansas City Public School System.

These NEW Virtual Learning Sites will offer KCPS students a place to do Virtual School, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:15.p.m. for structural virtual learning support, 7-9 a.m. before school care and 3-6 p.m. after school care. 

Bus transportation will be provided by KCPS at normal bus stops to and from the sites. Breakfast, lunch and snack will be served to all students. Licensed and trained staff will provide instruction and assist with virtual learning.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in fun recreation activities as well as complete assignments. Extended day option is available through 6 p.m. Social distancing and masks will be required,  

The program will start when school starts on September 8, but registration for this opportunity begins Monday, August 10. LINK TO REGISTRATION >>
