Kansas City, MO — The City of Kansas City and the Kansas City Aviation Department (KCAD) will make a special presentation of the Concession Program at the New KCI Terminal Thursday, July 25, at 12 PM in the Wayne Miner Community Room of Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center’s Downtown Campus, located at 825 Euclid Avenue in Kansas City’s Historic Northeast Neighborhood. Those that live or do business in Downtown or the urban core are encouraged to attend and learn more about opportunities associated with the airport construction project.

The new date represents the seventh of 11 scheduled business outreach sessions. Representatives of the KCAD and ICF International, Inc., will discuss opportunities in concessions, design/construction, supplies and services as they share their plan for “Creating a True Kansas City Experience.”

“The Kansas City Aviation Department is asking various business, civic and minority organizations and leaders to participate in public discussions to inform local community businesses of various ways that they can actively participate in the Concessions Program for the New Terminal at Kansas City International Airport, dubbed Build KCI,” a press release from the KCAD said of the outreach events.

We would like to share our vision for the Build KCI Concessions Program with area businesses and discuss the opportunities for them to be involved in this monumental project,” said Pat Klein, KCMO Aviation Director.

Chief Executive Officer Faisal Khan said he is proud to host the only concession program meeting in the city’s urban core at the Health Center’s Downtown Campus.

“Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center is taking the opportunity to highlight employment and business opportunities for the community we live in and serve,” Khan said of the announcement. “We welcome the construction of the new terminal at KCI, and the impact it will have on the patients and families we see every day.”

***NOTE: An earlier version of this release stated this event would provide information “about employment opportunities associated with the airport construction project.” Thursday’s presentation is focused on business-to-business opportunities for local companies, not individual jobs.***
