Johnson County Bar Association to Host Kansas Gubernatorial Debate with Kansas City PBS on Wednesday, October 5

The Johnson County Bar Association is pleased to announce they will be hosting a Kansas Gubernatorial Debate on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Overland Park, to be broadcast on Kansas City PBS and offered to public television stations across Kansas.

Moderated by Nick Haines, the Executive Producer of Kansas City PBS Public TV, both Governor Laura Kelly and Attorney General Derek Schmidt will be participating in the debate. The media are scheduled to arrive at 11:40am, and the debate will begin promptly at 12pm.

Kansas City PBS is the exclusive broadcast, online and streaming partner for the Kansas Gubernatorial Debate. Credentialled media outlets are invited to cover this important event. A multi-box will be provided. No station other than Kansas City PBS is authorized to offer live streaming of this debate, or to broadcast or offer up online the debate in its entirety.

This is a private Johnson County Bar Association members only event and is not open to the general public. Kansas City PBS's broadcast cameras will allow the public to experience the entire candidate exchange in this important electoral race.
