Entrepreneur & TV Personality Bethenny Frankel to Headline Greater Kansas City Home & Lifestyle Show

Interactive Smart Home Featured Parade of Playhouses Fundraiser for Veteran’s Community Project Planned

KANSAS CITY, MO — The Greater Kansas City Home and Lifestyle Show is pleased to announce that Bethenny Frankel, the self-made businesswoman, TV producer, natural foods chef, multiple New York Times bestselling author and mother, will headline the 2019 show. Frankel is the founder and CEO of Skinnygirl, a lifestyle brand offering practical solutions to women. She was listed on Forbes' top 100 Most Powerful Celebrities, has a TV production company, B Real, is a “guest shark” on

ABC’s hit TV show Shark Tank, and has hosted a nationally syndicated talk show, Bethenny. She is a star of The Real Housewives of New York City and founded B Strong, a charity providing real-time emergency assistance to women who face crises on their roads to success.

Fans will have the opportunity to learn about Frankel’s career and lifestyle as well as ask her questions during her time on stage. Frankel will also host meet-and-greet opportunities with her fans. For the opportunity to meet Frankel and get a photo with her, fans can go online to kchomeshow.com and purchase a special Meet and greet ticket for only $35. This VIP ticket also allows fans to sit up-front in reserved seating during Frankel’s program. Frankel’s stage schedule will be:

  • Saturday, March 23: Presentation begins at 2:00 p.m. and Meet and Greet begins at 3:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 24: Presentation begins at 1:00 p.m. and Meet and Greet begins at 2:00 p.m.

Also presenting at the Home and Lifestyle Show will be KC native Tamara Day, star of DIY Network’s Bargain Mansions. Day will be on hand throughout the weekend to talk about her hit TV show, her design inspiration and her life.

Smart Home

Another hot item at the show will be the Smart Home. Explore ways to customize your home with smart technology in this interactive house, courtesy of Patriot Homes, Ferguson/Factory Direct and Samsung. Features that the smart home will include are:

Parade of Playhouses

A new feature of the 2019 Home & Lifestyle Show will be the Parade of Playhouses. HBA members will be building playhouses to be displayed during the Greater Kansas City Home and Lifestyle Show. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on these playhouses via an online auction and proceeds from the auction will benefit Veterans Community Project (VCP). The VCP will be showcasing one of its tiny homes at the show. In support of VCP, a $1 from every home show ticket sold in advance online will go to its efforts to end veteran homelessness.
