(Kansas City, MO) –Award winning sports broadcaster Danny Clinkscale is launching his Reasonably Irreverent Podcast and DannyClinkscale.com, his virtual home for provocative, thoughtful, and witty commentary, probing interviews and detours from the beaten path. The public kick-off event is on Thursday, Nov. 1 at Nick & Jakes, 5031 Main St. from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Known as the “voice of reason,” Clinkscale has covered some of the greatest sports events in the world such as the Super Bowl, Final Four, Baseball All-Star game, MLB playoffs, the U.S. Open and the World Series. He also has been a play-by-play announcer at the Division 1 level in hockey and basketball, MLS soccer, the Baseball Hall of Fame game, and many other sporting events and venues.

Clinkscale’s Reasonably Irreverent Podcast gives him an opportunity to spread his wings and share unique insights into sports and interviews with sports legends as well as film, music, public affairs and human interest stories. Clinkscale will also profile prominent Kansas Citians in sports and other endeavors in a unique light.

Clinkscale is tapping into a growing market. According to Nielsen Podcast Insights Q3 of 2018, sports podcast fans are in 49.8 million households with 23 million being avid fans. They are, not surprisingly, heavy consumers of beer and liquor, but also cookies and baby food. Who knew? The top product categories for annual advertising/sponsorship spends on sports podcasts include liquor, wine, household cleaners, personal soap/bath needs and beer. Not far from that are oral hygiene products, tea, detergent and skin care. See attached Nielsen report.

DannyClinkscale.com is home to the Reasonably Irreverent Podcast along with Clinkscale’s blog and Clink Scale Reviews of movies and music as well as information on his background as a presenter of topics such as recovery and advancement, sports and its impact on society as well as emceeing, interviewing and book-presentation opportunities.

“I am extremely excited to bring entertainment and information of a different variety to the market place with my Reasonably Irreverent Podcast and new website,” stated Danny Clinkscale. “I believe my viewpoints on sports are factually based, yet analyzed and repurposed in a unique way. These formats will allow me to explore other passions and interests with my own spin. The interviews are really going to be fun, talking to people with distinctive backgrounds, and to bring out sides of them previously unseen. I am lucky enough to tap into a large following, so I am excited about the great marketing opportunity for businesses large and small. It’s going to be a blast!”

Clinkscale is well-known for hosting College Football Gameday and the Kansas City Chief’s postgame show on 810 WHB, and having served as co-host on “Between the Lines” for many years. He is also a critically acclaimed author who has been reviewed by the Lancet from the United Kingdom and other major publications and has been featured at many prestigious venues such as the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York and Coaches vs Cancer. Danny’s book signings and presentations have attracted thousands. He has been a presenter for Coaches vs. Cancer, the Baseball Hall of Fame, and many charitable organizations.
