On Saturday, May 4, more than 100 Kansas City area Comcast employees, family members and friends volunteered their time and talents to paint, landscape, clean and stock the shelves of the newest Community Services League (CSL) location in Independence. The location, at 18109 E. 12th St., will house a CSL-run food pantry and Mid-Continent Library branch. The building is owned by the Fort Osage School District and formerly was home to its early education center. The center is expected to open later this summer.

Comcast Cares Day is a family affair with many volunteers bringing their children to join in on the fun of giving back.
