AdventHealth South Overland Park Begins Hospital Expansion

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – AdventHealth South Overland Park, located at 165th and Antioch in the Bluhawk development, recently celebrated the start of construction on the 193,000 square-foot, 85-bed inpatient hospital designed to provide patients with access to a full suite of hospital and emergency services.

The new building expands upon the emergency services, medical offices and imaging already available and serving patients at the South Overland Park location. The growing campus will include a new birth center, surgical services, intensive care unit, heart care and more. The expansion will generate approximately 200 full-time equivalent jobs. Construction is expected to be complete in late 2021.

AdventHealth South Overland Park opened in 2017, and currently includes a 24/7 emergency department, imaging, dedicated women’s imaging center, laboratory and a medical office building with primary care, physical therapy and physician specialties including cardiology, neurosurgery, endocrinology, gastroenterology and dermatology.
