Centurions Trivia Night is going virtual! Gather your smartest friends, colleagues, and classmates in teams of eight and join us virtually for Centurions Trivia on Thursday, November 5 from 6-8 p.m.

We will be joined by two esteemed guests, Paul Kempinski, CEO of Children’s Mercy Hospital, and Ashley McClellan, CEO of Research Medical Center, to discuss leadership in healthcare in the midst of a global pandemic.  As Chief Executive Officers in Kansas City, both Mr. Kempinski and Ms. McClellan have faced both similar and unique challenges over the last six months. Although their hospital systems faced very different challenges, these two local leaders will share with us their own perspectives of leading during a crisis. They’ve learned, they’ve served and they’ve led. Now, join us as they graduate! The Social Committee cordially invites you to gather with your fellow Centurions and their guests as we celebrate the important work that the Second Years have achieved during their time with us. We’ll also announce the winners of three big honors—Centurion of the Year, Outstanding First Year and Taskforce of the Year. Get ready Trail Blazers for a Wild West Centurions Virtual Murder Mystery Party! For weeks, people have been pouring into the small western town of Deadwood for the biggest poker tournament this side of Mississippi. From outlaws to marshals and saloon girls to southern belles, everyone has made this small western frontier town THE place to be. We need a minimum of 20 players with male and female characters so family and significant others are welcome to join in on the fun. CRUCIAL CONVERSATION WITH GAYLENE CROUSER, STANDING ROCK SIOUX TRIBE

Gaylene serves as the executive director for the Kansas City area’s only multi-purpose social service agency for American Indians, the Kansas City Indian Center. The Center’s mission is to encourage social, educational, and economic advancement of the American Indian community by promoting traditional and cultural values. Gaylene has lived in the Kansas City area since 1999 and, prior to taking over as the Center’s executive director in 2012, she volunteered with the organization in various capacities.
